Capture is a browser bookmarklet that allows you to get reference information and send it to EndNote Online.
When you're on a webpage with a reference you want to save, click the Capture button.
You will be prompted to log in to your EndNote Online account, and then EndNote will provide the reference info it has found, and ask whether you want it sent to your EndNote Online or desktop account.
In EndNote Online, go to Downloads. Drag the Capture box to your bookmarks bar.
Click the 3 dots on the right hand side of the browser, then More Tools.
Click Extensions, then search for EndNote. Install the extension.
With the release of EndNote 21, EndNote now has EndNote Web and EndNote Online Classic. If you have EndNote 21, you can log in to either EndNote Web or EndNote Online Classic with the same email and password.
So what's the difference? You can access your desktop library via a browser in both versions of EndNote online. EndNote Web's interface looks very similar to your desktop EndNote library, making it easy to use. EndNote Web is also required for the new Google Docs CWYW plug-in. However, EndNote Web does not have the same functionality as EndNote Online Classic. Classic is still required for functions like group sharing and journal match.
