Apps Available on Microsoft HoloLens

Available VR apps include both medical-based training programs and simpler experiences that introduce users to VR. The below apps come preinstalled on the library's HoloLens headset. If you are interested in a title that is not on this list, please contact HSLS Technology Services.

New to VR?

If you have no experience with virtual reality systems, we recommend that you start your VR journey with the Microsoft Tips app. This app introduces you to the basic hand gestures and voice commands that are common in the HoloLens environment.

  • HoloAnatomy Demo: Walk through a slideshow of 3D anatomical models
  • 3D Bones and Organs (Anatomy): Explore the bones and organs of the human body
  • BioDigital Heart Demo: Explore and dissect a holographic beating heart
  • Awake Heart: Immerse yourself in the human heart and learn about its anatomy, physiology, and electrical activity
