Create an Account

  1. Direct your browser to AccessMedicine*.
  2. On the AccessMedicine* home page, click on the Account drop-down menu in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
  3. Click on the Sign in button.
  4. Enter your email address.
  5. Complete the registration form and then click on Create Account.
  6. On your mobile device, open the Access App and log in with your email address. You can select between two sign in methods: receive temporary access link or enter password manually. You must have an Internet connection to do this.

*AccessPharmacy and AccessSurgery also provide the option to create the same account used across McGraw Hill products and services.

If you downloaded the app first, you will be automatically validated once you are on campus (within your institution's designated IP range) and your phone connects to your institution's network.

 

Updates & Expiration

In order to maintain uninterrupted access, you must log in to your Access profile from any on-site Pitt or UPMC computer at least once every 90 days. You will receive a reminder in-app when you need to reconnect to the subscription.

App Description

The Access app provides content from the AccessMedicine, AccessPharmacy, and AccessSurgery databases. Search across a number of medical resources such as videos, podcasts, images, infographics, and textbooks, including Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine or Tintinalli’s Emergency Medicine, so that you can learn in a way that suits your style and time constraints.
