Association for Hospital Medical Education (AHME)
A professional organization involved in the continuum of hospital-based medical education. It serves as a resource and advocate for medical education professionals throughout the US by providing resources, meetings, and publications.
Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC)
A nonprofit association of medical schools, teaching hospitals, and academic societies. It leads and serves the academic medicine community to improve health through medical education, health care, medical research, and community collaborations.
Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
A private, non-profit organization that accredits all graduate medical training programs for physicians in the United States. It sets and monitors voluntary professional educational standards that prepare physicians to deliver safe, high-quality medical care to all Americans.
International Association for Medical Education (AAME)
A worldwide organization with members in 90 countries on five continents. It promotes international excellence in education in the health professions across the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education continuum.
International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE)
A nonprofit professional development society organized and directed by health professions educators¹⁶. Its goals include promoting excellence and innovation in teaching, student assessment, program evaluation, instructional technology, human simulation, and learner-centered education.

CDC National Center for Health Statistics

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
